What data we process and why

  • Contact form: name, email and message, to answer your enquiry. Legal basis: your consent.
  • Browsing statistics: anonymous or pseudonymised usage data through Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies. Legal basis: your consent.
  • Affiliate links: when you click a booking button you go to Booking.com through CJ, which may use their own cookies to attribute the booking. Any subsequent processing is carried out by Booking.com under its privacy policy.

Retention

Contact messages are kept for as long as necessary to reply and, at most, one year. Analytics data is kept according to the Google Analytics settings (14 months).

Recipients

Data is not passed to third parties except where legally required. The web hosting provider (Hostinger) and Google (Analytics) act as data processors, and may process data outside the European Economic Area with the safeguards of the GDPR.

Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to info@caminosantiagoportugues.com. If you believe they have not been respected, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
